WINDOW DRESSING MATERIALS
In the retail shop world, designers are increasingly betting on an impactful visual strategy with the objective of allowing the end user to experience experiences that are not possible in the e-shop market.
These differential factors can be of various kinds, some of a physical type and others of a sensory type. The former can be achieved through different strategies centralized at the physical point of sale, based on the setting of the space, creating routes that are attractive to the consumer, the incorporation of materials that are unusual in the retail world or based on ephemeral elements such as striking temporary windows. The latter are based on achieving an emotional connection with the customer, which can be achieved through different ways such as personalization or promptness.
This month we are going to focus on presenting some physical proposals that are trending this season by creating striking solutions with shop windows that are impressive.

EMPORIO ARMANI, 51-52 NEW BOND STREET LONDON
In this shop window, we opted for a sober solution where the focus is on the marketable product and not on the brand.
The support recedes into the background, framing the product, which becomes the protagonist through the use of color. Machined colored methacrylate parts focus the eyes of the potential customer only on the sales material, avoiding distractions in its support. The minimalist piece of furniture, made of colorless acrylic, is blended into the set, becoming a fully functional ethereal element.

In this case, in the brand's new temporary store, the window shows the brand's name through the use of huge backlit white acrylic body letters, in homage to the lighting of skyscrapers and the constantly changing skyline of New York City.
Each letter in itself performs a double function, the face exposed to the street represents a large lamp, which changes color in a personalized and individual way, giving rise to a dynamic and impressive shop window. Instead, the inner side behaves like a backlit container-display where the accessories of the temporary store are sold.
The choice of material, in this case acrylic, has allowed relatively easy machining of elements approximately 2 meters high in one piece. In addition to providing them with excellent light diffusion capacity, using LED technology results in a highly interesting design element where the location of the light point is disguised. This achieves a backlit element characterized by a homogeneous diffusion of light without shadows.

Finally, in this performance, the stage and the product are conceived as a whole. A situation is recreated from the materials displayed in the window and with them, various types of marketable products are presented. In this one, the support that supports the scene is a PVC support, showing its aesthetic possibilities once printed and machined, managing to recreate the movement of a curly sea.
