PP03 Akyplac - Uses Ribbed Cellular Polypropylene
This time we are going to talk about our cellular polypropylene sheets with ribbed inner structure, their properties and the uses for which they are intended.
These plates are characterized by being light, rigid and low cost. Highly accepted as a lightweight support, commonly used in printing and signage work, although it can be used in other uses such as fences, making it a very competitive alternative to other materials such as wood or PVC.

Properties
These polypropylene sheets are characterized by having a double-layer ribbed internal structure, making them suitable for interior or exterior protection work. In addition, they have excellent weather behavior, very good resistance to chemicals and oils.
The main characteristics that define this support are:
- Lightweight and durable material
- Smooth finish surface, corona treatment
- Good chemical resistance
Lightweight and durable material
It is a lightweight and durable material, with UV treatment, suitable for outdoor use in all types of interior and exterior protection elements. Suitable as an alternative to tarpaulins or other types of sheets to protect walls, floors, doors, ceilings and windows.

The PP03 double layer is the perfect fencing solution for construction and remodeling. Our polypropylene sheets are rigid, resistant, easy to install, provide security to any work and prevent access to outsiders. Made of polypropylene, easy to clean, reusable and fully recyclable at the end of their useful life.
Smooth finish surface, corona treatment
Our PP03 offers a white and opaque outer surface that is excellent for double-sided printing. Subjected to corona treatment, as a result, the inks adhere better to the surface, making the material an excellent alternative to other reproduction media. Specially designed for screen printing, digital printing and film lamination applications.

Good chemical resistance
Polypropylene has good chemical inertness and good resistance to cracking under stress. Highly resistant to mineral and organic products, it is not affected by aqueous solutions of mineral salts, chemical bases and mineral acids at temperatures below 60°C, except for very strong acids. Therefore, it is suitable for use as a formwork because it can be in contact with concrete, usable in foundations or other types of structures that require lightweight and reusable formwork.
The specific properties of this material ensure that the outer membrane does not adhere to the concrete and, therefore, offers a better finish than traditional wood solutions. Once used, ribbed polypropylene sheets are 100% recyclable in new applications.
