A couple of years ago, we added PC 14 Extrite/1 to our catalog of compact polycarbonates, and now we are pleased to introduce a new addition to this line of compact polycarbonates, the PC14 Extrite/2.

The PC14 Extrite 2 evolves to adapt to the standard width of the market. For the thinnest thicknesses (4-6 mm), the width becomes 2050 mm, while the thicker (8-15 mm) are produced in width 2000 mm.

The range of colors available depends on the thickness, from 4 to 8 mm there is a possibility in the following range (see minimum quantities):

PC 14 Extrite is a material specially designed to respond positively to the most demanding environments, such as abrasive environments (environments with suspended dust or sand), or to very intense sun exposure. Until recently, the material only had a hard coating on one side, and now, in addition, we have the possibility of offering you this compact polycarbonate sheet with hard coating on both sides while maintaining UV protection.

The PC14 Exrite/2 is characterized by being a translucent polycarbonate plate, with UV protection on both sides, in addition to having a hard anti-abrasion coating on both sides. With this, the plate becomes an excellent option in all types of outdoor applications, especially recommended for conditions of intensive use. Being able to highlight:

• Abrasion resistance on both sides, both with UV protection
• Better chemical behavior with UV protection
• Material with good fire resistance (Euroclasses) Bs1d0)
• Durability guaranteed for 15 years
• Easy to handle, it allows cold transformation without losing properties under the action of UV

This compact polycarbonate plate is characterized by excellent resistance to abrasion on both sides. Designed for intensive use, where both sides are exposed to very demanding conditions of use.

As with the PC14 Extrite/1 in the Extrite/2, small crates/damage can be repaired, as long as the surface rises to more than 60ºC, either due to sunlight or another type of energy source. If these minor damages do not disappear due to self-repair of the plate, we can try to fix the surface, applying heat with a hot air gun, regulating the temperature to 130ºC.

Better chemical behavior with UV protection

In addition, this coating on both sides provides the surface with improved chemical resistance compared to a standard PC, especially to chemicals such as kerosene and xylene.

Material with good fire resistance (Euroclasses Bs1d0)

In addition to being a self-extinguishing material, the coating does not alter its excellent fire classification, in the range of 2-6 mm available for construction materials, classified according to Euroclasses EN13501-1 Bs1d0.

Durability guaranteed for 15 years

Material that offers greater durability than other compacts, as it has a 15-year limited written warranty against breakage, yellowing and loss of light transmission (see conditions).

Easy to handle, it allows the plates to be transformed both in the cold without losing properties under the action of UV
