Aluminium/Polyethylene Composite Panels

IRIBOND panels - varieties and uses

In previous editions, we have already allocated this space to the presentation of our IRIBOND GT22/24/25 composite panel specialties specially designed for all types of creative work, both architectural and advertising.

This entry will delve into the different types of aluminum panel with PE core that our catalog presents and which variety is the most ideal depending on the end use of the plate or the work to be done.

Next, we will describe what properties define each member of the range and how to get the most out of each type of support.

IRIBOND GT22

It is a panel with a base of low density polyethylene, between two sheets of 0.3 mm thick aluminum, the resulting assembly is extremely rigid, light and extremely flat. These characteristics make it a perfect candidate for both interior and exterior cladding material, as well as for signage or printing.

In our catalog we present a wide variety of shades and textures available, such as white and other colors to choose from with a matte or high gloss finish, in addition to those metallic with or without texture. Ideal for all types of creative projects that require a multipurpose and recyclable material.

Due to its characteristic composition, it has chromatic stability, has excellent behavior against fire and is a good acoustic insulator, as well as being very resistant to corrosion. Making it suitable for lettering work, interior and exterior design or digital printing work.

The resulting panel offers a smooth and uniform surface with good dimensional stability, flatness and high impact resistance, suitable for bending, milling and gluing, making it easy to use in 3D applications.

It comes in two types depending on the finish color, GT22 and GT22 Prestige, both are always protected on both sides with polyethylene film.

IRIBOND GT24

Variety of sandwich panel consisting of a polyethylene core plus 2 sheets of 0.21 mm thick aluminum coating, and like the GT22 lacquered with polyester-based paint.

As a result, an extremely lightweight, yet reasonably resistant aluminum composite panel is obtained. Therefore, he is considered the perfect candidate in all those informational or advertising works for interiors.

In short, it is an extremely lightweight panel with excellent planimetry, which facilitates printing and machining, although it is not suitable for milling, so it will be used mainly in works aimed at digital printing and screen printing.

Designed only for indoor use, its properties recommend it to be used both in displays, as well as in stand decoration elements, small and large format images or lettering work.

IRIBOND GT25

Third option in our catalog of aluminum composite panels with a PE core, in this case the aluminum coating sheets are 0.15 mm thick, and like the previous varieties, they are lacquered with polyester-based paint, they do not have a PVDF finish, which is characterized by high resistance to ultraviolet radiation.

In this case, we find the lightest panel of the three, designed only for flat, low-cost applications that do not require any type of mechanical resistance.

Intended for printing work, usually in matt white on both sides, although there is a possibility that the reverse side has a raw aluminum finish.

MULTICOLORED PANELS

With our GT22 and GT24 panels, there is the option, if the work requires it, of being manufactured with one of the sides in several shades (up to five different colors, with the possibility of a lacquered finish paint or PVDF).

This option is especially designed for corporate image change campaigns for large companies (check minimum manufacturing quantities).
