The historic DALILA store (Valencia), a reference in the Falla world, decided to undertake a profound change of image, betting on an innovative and modern design. Studio NX3 decided to use IR'O (Solid Surface manufactured by IRPEN), as it is a material that combines the qualities of ergonomics, resistance and beauty they needed to achieve the intended objective.

INDOOR INSTALLATIONS

In the design of the surface dedicated to the customer service desks, the qualities of the IR'O are appreciated, creating a compact surface with no apparent joints, consisting of a set of finishes:

-Outer front skirt including zonal curvature.

-On the counter.

-Inner envelope.

-Drawer fronts with “cuffs”.

-Covered with four-sided columns at right angles.

-Milled in Morse of the Valencia anthem and the store's “logo” in orange.

OUTDOOR INSTALLATIONS

It was a matter of carrying out an innovative change in the façade, which would harmonize with its environment, with an easy-to-maintain surface and good resistance to weather. That's why it was decided to use IR'O color White, a “tailor-made” material with which it was possible to cover the outside space of the store fluidly and without apparent joints, offering an image of freshness and innovation that stands out in the architectural ensemble of its location. The Valencia anthem and the store's logo in orange were also machined on the outer coating.

PROCESS AND EXECUTION OF THE IR'OIR'O INSTALLATION is a relatively easy surface to handle, its manipulation can be carried out quickly and with a high level of quality, even in the same place of installation. The firm VF Aplicaciones (Valencia), a collaborating company specializing in the manipulation and installation of our product, used plates measuring 3630 x 910 x 13 m/m., on which it carried out the usual process of:

-Cut (With circular at 4000 rpm) and Nvidia disc.

-Glued (A test with IR'O adhesive color White L-05 to achieve blind joints).

-Curved (Thermoformed with air or hot plates at a radius of 600 mm.)

-Cold curved (slight flexion) of a section of the outer façade

-Sanding (with orbital rotor vibrator at 10,000 rpm and sandpaper calibrated from 100 to 180 grit)

-Milling (1600-2200 W milling machine with video cutter).

-Polished (With the Roto orbital vibrator and calibrated sandpaper from 320 to 600 grit).

The IR'O panels on the façade were mounted on a metal structure fixed to the wall.
